Version 2.4.00 (25th April 2008)

v2.4.00 is both a maintenance and feature release.

Amongst the new features are:

  • Multilingual support (the initial release will include support for German).
  • Option to remove and then add the person document to the Domino Directory for User Disable and User Enable requests.
  • Automatic import of requests from CSV files and Notes databases.
  • Processing of requests received as mail-in documents.
  • Additional ID update options that do not require any user intervention (R7.0.2 and upwards)

Note the following pre-upgrade comments:

  • We have changed the way that User Create Profile deals with User ID and Password distribution between v2.3.00 and v2.4.00. There are now far more options, but this means you will have to check and update all your User Create profile documents.

    • Version v2.3.00b (Tuesday 3rd April, 2007)

    v2.3.00b of FirM is a "hot fix" release and was built following some issues encountered with the System Configuration document. Whilst these may have onl effected a small number of installations, the descision was taken to provide this update forthwith.

    Version v2.3.00a (Friday 30th March, 2007)

    v2.3.00a of FirM is an "interim" release and has been made available prior to the release of v2.3.01 to allow clients to benefit from the fixes and updates already made in the v2.3.01 code stream.

    Fixes In Priority Order

    • DOMM-6RWMJU: 2 - Moderate - Import Certifier
      • The OpenFileDialog method of the NotesUIWorkspace is now used to select the actual certifier file.
    • DOMM-6TKJ8K: 2 - Moderate - Group Changes
      • Group Registry documents now amended with code to check for changes. The "Close" button (or closing the window with dbl-right-click or escape) now checks to see whether any changes have been made to the text of any item and prompts with abliity to save, ignore or cancel the close if anything has changed.
    • DOMM-6XGEY8: 2 - Moderate - BRP Password notification not working.
      • The "Trigger name" for this notification profile was incorrect. The default notification document was set to "BRP-SendBPRPassword".
    • DOMM-6XGH8E: 2 - Moderate - Missing subform?
      • It appeared that there was a subform missing from the design but, the form no longer required the sub-form but still contained a reference to it.
    • RDHR-6WM3TE: 2 - Moderate - Group Rename does not honour group name formatting options
      • The group rename process was bypassing the name formatting rules of the group profile. This is now being honoured.
    • DOMM-6W6LSA: 3 - Low - Internet Password Reset
      • The system now updates the HTTPPasswordChangeDate with the time/date the password is reset.
    • DOMM-6X6F4P: 3 - Low - Able to submit a Grant Mailfile Access request without specifying new data owner
      • Additional validation has been applied to prevent this from occuring.
    • DOMM-6XGEYX: 3 - Low - Signature issue
      • The automated process for code-build has been augmented to allow for more rigerous signing od the design templates.
    • DOMM-6XYDQD: 3 - Low - User Grant Mail File access fails when requester specified not to remove access from mail file
      • The data controlling the functioning of this request type have been ammended to prevent this.
    • DOMM-6ZNDYK: 3 - Low - Group import wizard
      • There was an error in the view selection formula within the Group Registry that made it appear as if groups that were selected for import were not being imported.
    • RCAS-6W2LWS: 3 - Low - No "Close" button on UI if user has "You cannot create any requests" returned
      • "Close" button is now always visible on the fiorms and also the form actions.
    • BSBN-6PDMX9: 4 - Enhancement - Need an Active Directory User delete transaction
      • An "Active Directory User Delete" transaction has been added. It will be fully available in v2.3.02 if FirM.
    • DOMM-6PFB9N: 4 - Enhancement - ID Backup - Mail-in Name
      • A "Mail-in database name" can now be configured from within the ID Backup setup configuration settings section of the FirM Congfiguration Profile.

    Enhancements

    • It is now possible to import and encrypt user ID(s) and password(s) into the repositories. This can be found on the "Tools" page under "Import".
    • There are now 9 configurable MailFile Quota settings as opposed to 5 to provide more flexibility when defining quotas.
    • ID and Certifier import routines now use native Notes file selection dialogs.
    • ID and Certifier import routines now check and enforce use of encryption keys during import/update.
    • The Group Management requests can now be configured at a global, profile or group level to:
      • Create sub-groups based on content OR entry count
      • Prevent sub-groups being created automatically
      • Prepend text to identify system created sub-groups

    Known issues

    • The Active Directory interface is undergoing some modifications and may not function as expected.
    • Application usage scanning back to a central server is not working.
    • User Move fails if the user has Alternate Name set.

    Version v2.3.00 (Monday 20th November, 2006)

    v2.3.00 of FirM is an update release and includes the following updates, fixes and additional features:

    FirM v2.3.00 incorporates a number of additions to further extend its functionality. The major edditionas include:

    • The addition of a Web Service interface to support the new Active Directory processing
    • A new web interface that utilises the Web Service interface
    • A re-engineered class structure for BlackBerry Enterprise Server management to provide a more resilient interface
