Active Directory Pickers
A very good use of the LSX (The LotusScript eXtension) toolkit is to use it to encapsulate low-level code from other application interfaces and package this up for simple consumption within LotusScript. This is discussed in some depth in a presentation we created for The View Developer 2006 conference, and can be viewed here. The LSX toolkit itself can be downloaded from the Lotus Developerworks web site.
As part of our ongoing work with our product - the Federated Identity and Resource Manager - we're increasingly performing more and more sophisticated Active Directory integration with Lotus Domino. One side effect of this was to create an LSX that allowed the user to select an object or a container from Active Directory.
We decided to allow people to see how this can be achieved, and to give away the source code for this LSX. This is to aid peoples understanding of the integration possibilities within Lotus Notes.

As always, we'd love to hear how you use the Active Directory picker, and any suggestions, observations on it can always be mailed to our support mailbox.
This tool - as well as all others - was inspired by our development of our Product - FirM. Click here to learn more about how FirM can save significant cost and effort in running your domino environment.
